I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Perceiving Systems at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, advised by Professor Michael J. Black.
I am interested in modeling and capturing humans body+hands motions with a focus on human-environment interaction and haptic motion capturing. More specifically, my research is focused on precise Body and Hands mocap using IMUs, Images, or other modalities to be able to capture interactions and feedback from the environment. In addition, I am interested in adding gaze direction to mocap in order to have more information about objects that humans are interacting with.
Our goal is to understand the principles of Perception, Action and Learning in autonomous systems that successfully interact with complex environments and to use this understanding to design future systems
