My personal interest lies in the behaviour, locomotion, colouration and biomechanics of small organisms, especially insects. I would like to use the inspirations from living organisms to create efficient materials, algorithms and new kind of robots. Therefore I am studying organisms with collective behaviour and swarm intelligence as it could be observed by ants, bees or slime moulds .
